Ham and asparagus rolls


1 (227 g ) packet frozen asparagus salt


150 ml / 2/3 cup thick mayonnaise


1-2 cloves garlic, crushed


1-2 tablespoons / 1-2 tablespoons /1-3 tablespoons top of milk


1/2 teaspoon grated lemon rind (optional)


6 slices cooked ham


Paprika to garnish


Cook the asparagus in salted water until tender, drain and cool, combine the mayonnaise, garlic to taste, sufficient top of the milk to give a coating consistency and lemon rind, if used.


Divide the asparagus between the slices of ham and roll up. Put the ham rolls on a serving dish or 6 small plates .spoon the mayonnaise mixture over the ham and sprinkle with paprika.

Serve with brown bread and butter
