Row 13: sk first vertical bar. Insert hook in next st as for Tss, pull through 2 lps; sl st made .sl st in each st across. Fasten off.

Note:

Panel should measure 13.5 inches (34.5 centimeters) square without stretching it.this is a little smaller than one side or the top of the ottoman ;the connecting stitches and the way the pieces stretch will fill in the gaps without bagging.

Border (Add to all 5 squares)

With right facing and using 3 strands, attach yarn in any corner.ch 1 (this counts as first sc).work sc in each st across top,2 sc in corner. Continue around second, third, and fourth sides, when you get back to the beginning, work 1 sc into the corner. Join to ch with sl st .fasten off, weave in ends

Join squares

1-     With RS outward, position one square on top of the ottoman .make sure the other squares will line up so the stitches on the four sides run the same direction around the ottoman.

2-     with 1 strand and a size j crochet hook (to pull yarn through sewing-fashion, not to crochet) or a large tapestry needle ,whipstitch the single crochet border of each side to the corresponding sc stitches on the top, either positioning the pieces on the cube while you do this ,or laying them flat.

3-     Whipstitch sides together. Weave in ends.

Finish

To make bottom snug, turn ottoman upside down with 3 strands and size q hook, join yarn in one corner of bottom .ch 1.work 1 row sc all the way around .join to ch with sl st .fasten off.
