The cesky was developed by Czech geneticist Dr. Frantisek Horak in the 1940s to a compact dog for burrowing , he used the scalyham terrier for its dropped ears , which would not get earth in them underground , and the scottich terrier for its dark coat , which makes it less visible .also called the Czech tewrrier or Bohemian terrier the cesky is a strong willed , fearless little dog with a typical terrier tendency to snap , and makes a good watchdog , the coat is usually kept short on the body , but the longer areas require daily attention
